What is hosting or web hosting service?

Hosting is renting your own space on one of our servers so you can publish your website on the World Wide Web. If you wish your website to appear when people type your domain name, this is called hosting.

Hosting is renting your own space on one of our servers so you can publish your website on the World Wide Web. If you wish your website to appear when people type your domain name, this is called hosting. If you are constructing your website yourself, you can choose one of our hosting packages or hosting plans that will provide you with all you need and desire. All hosting packages are on offer and include a domain name and mail account. The log-in data offer direct FTP-access to your server space.
Do you use frequent data-traffic or special applications?

Then we can offer you dedicated hosting. This means that a server is exclusively used for your website and not for others. We take care of the engineering, the back-up and the monitoring. We supply the best servers with extensive configuration, security and support contract. We can also provide you of the right URL-forwarding and visitors’ statistics.

Domain Registration

A domain name is a unique name that gives your company or organisation an own identity on the Internet. Each domain name is worldwide unique.

A good domain name ensures that your clients can easily find your website on the internet. On top, having your own domain name ensures a professional image for your business or organisation.

The Red Elephant can arrange any number of web hosting packages at competitive prices to ensure your website is up and running as quickly as possible. The process of registering domain names and arranging hosting can seem a bit daunting if you are unfamiliar with the process, so if you would like any advice on either please contact us.

Extensions are the letters that are put after the domain name. The extensions tell which kind of domain you have. Every country has its own extension (e.g. .uk for United Kingdom, .de for Germany, .fr for France, .nl for The Netherlands..etc.). But there are also extensions meant for businesses or organisations (e.g. .com, .org, .net, .info, .biz, .name..etc.).

All these domain names can also be registered for individuals as there are no extra requirements. But we also offer change of domain, and domain forwards.

Click here for more information about the extensions we support and our offers.

E-mail hosting

In view of the increasing amount of electronic communication, professional e-mail accounts equipped with anti-virus and anti-spam filters are fundamentally important. We can take care of your e-mail hosting, including webmail, while allowing you to retain the option of managing your mailboxes and aliases yourself. It goes without saying that all our e-mail services are equipped with anti-virus and anti-spam filters. We also supply anti-virus and anti-spam relay services for exchange servers.

All of our hosting packages or hosting plans have unlimited E-mail account users.
